What are Türkiye Drinks?

There are many traditional drinks in Turkey. Here are some of Turkey's famous drinks:

1. Tea: It is one of the most consumed beverages by Turkish people. Generally brewed black tea is preferred and drunk hot. Turkish tea is brewed in a teapot and served in a cup.

2. Coffee: Turkish coffee is one of the indispensable drinks of Turkish cuisine. Turkish coffee is brewed in special coffee pots and served in cups. It is generally consumed in sugar-free, low-sugar or medium form.

3. Ayran: It is one of the most popular drinks of Turkish cuisine. It is obtained by mixing yoghurt, water and salt. Ayran is preferred to cool down, especially in the summer months.

4. Turnip Juice: It is one of the traditional drinks of Turkish cuisine. Turnip juice, which is fermented purple radish juice, often contains bitterness and sourness. Turnip juice is consumed especially in Southeastern Anatolia regions such as Adana and Mersin.

5. Boza: It is a drink made from fermented wheat juice. It is consumed especially in winter months. Boza is usually served with cinnamon and roasted chickpeas.

6. Raki: It is one of the most famous alcoholic drinks of Turkish cuisine. It is a type of anise-flavored drink made from the fermentation of grapes and grape pomace. Raki is usually consumed with appetizers. In addition to these beverages, beverages such as fruit juices, carbonated drinks, lemonade and compote are also widely consumed in Turkey.
