Wars in which Uganda participated

Uganda has participated in many wars throughout history. Here are some important battles:

1. Uganda's War of Independence (1962): Uganda fought to gain independence from the United Kingdom in 1962. This war was led by the Uganda Independence Movement and eventually Uganda achieved independence.

2. Uganda-Tanzania War (1978-1979): The Ugandan army, under the command of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin, attacked the Tanzanian border and attempted to invade Tanzania. However, Tanzania resisted Uganda and won the war. As a result of this war, Idi Amin's rule ended and a military government was established in Uganda.

3. Uganda's M23 Rebellion (2012-2013): Uganda intervened in the M23 rebellion in its neighbor, the Democratic Republic of Congo. Uganda supported the M23 rebels and became involved in the fighting. As a result of this war, the M23 rebellion was suppressed and stability was achieved in the Democratic Republic of Congo with the intervention of Uganda.

4. Uganda-Somalia War (2007-present): Uganda struggles to achieve peace in Somalia within the framework of the African Union Mission (AMISOM). Uganda is one of the largest participants in AMISOM and is fighting against the terrorist organization Al Shabaab in Somalia. This war still continues.
