The biggest events in the History of Cyprus

1. Cyprus Peace Operation (1974): With the operation carried out by the Turkish Armed Forces, the political and military balance on the island of Cyprus changed and the Turkish Republic of Cyprus was established in the north of the island.

2. Establishment of the Republic of Cyprus (1960): The Republic of Cyprus, an independent republic on the island of Cyprus, was established. This date is the date when Cyprus gained its independence from England.
