What are the types of companies in Western Sahara?

Various types of companies exist in Western Sahara. These can be listed as follows:

1. Joint Stock Company (Société Anonyme - SA): Its partners are responsible for their capital shares and the purpose of the company is to engage in commercial activities. At least five co-founders are required.

2. Limited Liability Company (Société à Responsabilité Limitée - SARL): Its partners are limited to their capital shares and the purpose of the company is to engage in commercial activities. At least one founding partner is required.

3. Cooperative Company: Its members come together to carry out a certain economic activity by cooperating. Liability of partners is usually limited.

4. Limited Partnership (Société en Commandite Simple - SCS): It is a type of company in which at least one general partner has unlimited liability and one or more general partners have limited liability.

5. Collective Company (Société en Nom Collectif - SNC): It is a type of company in which all partners have unlimited liability.

6. Person Company: It is a type of company operated and owned by a single person. In such companies, the owner has full responsibility. Each of these company types offers different advantages and disadvantages and is chosen depending on the preferences and needs of business owners. Additionally, trading companies, holdings, public companies and other types of private companies can be found in Western Sahara, as in other countries.
