Wars in which Uruguay took part

Uruguay has been involved in many international conflicts throughout history. Here are some wars in which Uruguay participated: 1st War of Independence (1810-1828): Uruguay took part in the war of independence against Spanish rule in Argentina. As a result of this war, Uruguay gained its independence in 1828.

2. War of the Triple Alliance (1864-1870): Uruguay sided with the Triple Alliance after Paraguay attacked other South American countries, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

3. War of Heles in War (1914-1916): Uruguay did not participate in World War I, but took a neutral position in this war. However, throughout the war many Uruguayan citizens joined the Central Powers or Allied Powers to join the war.

4.II. World War (1939-1945): Uruguay, World War II. He did not officially participate in World War II and preferred to remain neutral. However, throughout the war some Uruguayan citizens joined the Allied Powers, fighting particularly against Italy and Germany.

5. Falklands War (1982): Uruguay sided with Argentina in the Falklands War between Britain and Argentina. Uruguay contributed to the war by providing diplomatic and logistical support to Argentina. Apart from these wars, Uruguay may have participated in other conflicts in its history. However, the wars mentioned above are Uruguay's more significant and known war involvements.
