Wars involving Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe has participated in several wars throughout history. Here are some important wars in which Zimbabwe participated:

1. Second Matabele War (1896-1897): This war took place when the Matabele Kingdom in Zimbabwe was conquered by the British Empire. The Matabele people resisted British colonization, but were eventually defeated.

2. World War I (1914-1918): While Zimbabwe was a British colony, it joined the war on the side of England. Zimbabwean soldiers served on various fronts of the British Empire.
