High technology products produced in Greece

Today, Greece cannot compete with other countries in the production of high-tech products. There is a limited infrastructure in the country for the production and development of high-tech products. However, small-scale production is carried out in some areas. Greece has a limited capacity in the production of computers and electronic equipment. Especially large technology companies do not have production facilities. However, some small and medium-sized businesses engage in the assembly of electronic components and equipment. Greece does not have sufficient production capacity in the telecommunications and communications sector. Most of the mobile devices, telecommunications infrastructure and network equipment are imported. There is also a limited production capacity in Greece in areas such as biotechnology, health technologies and pharmaceutical production. The country has a structure based mostly on imports in these areas. However, Greece has the production of some high-tech products in the energy sector. There are some companies especially in the production of technologies based on renewable energy sources such as wind energy and solar energy. As a result, Greece has a limited capacity in the production of high-tech products and cannot compete with other countries in this field. There are investments and infrastructure developments that the country needs to make in this field.
