Nigeria Political parties

There are many political parties in Nigeria. Here are some of Nigeria's most important political parties:

1. People's Democratic Party (PDP): It is the largest and oldest political party in Nigeria. Founded in 1998, PDP generally finds support in the south and southeast of the country. PDP also includes Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria's first democratic president.

2. APC (All Progressives Congress): Founded in 2013, APC has emerged as an important political party in Nigeria. APC generally finds support in the north and west of the country. Muhammadu Buhari, leader of the APC, was elected as the president of Nigeria in 2015.

3. Justice Party (AP): Justice Party is one of the oldest political parties in Nigeria. The party was founded in 2006 and finds support in the south of the country. AP became Nigeria's second largest political party in the 2019 general elections.

4. New Nationalist Party (NCP): NCP is a political party founded in 1994. The party finds support in the southeast of Nigeria and generally fights against economic inequalities and social injustice. Apart from these political parties, other important political parties include the New Democratic Movement (NDP), Progressive People's Alliance (APGA) and New Nigerian People's Party (NNPP). Each party has different political ideologies, goals and support bases. The diversity of political parties in Nigeria promotes the democratic process and political competition.
