Tajikistan is a country located in Central Asia. Before moving on to information about the army structure and military power, let's take a brief look at the history of Tajikistan. Tajikistan declared its independence with the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. In the post-independence period, the country had to struggle with civil wars and political instability. During this period, the country's military power was also negatively affected. Tajikistan's military power is represented by the Tajikistan Armed Forces (TAF). TAF consists of military units responsible for ensuring the territorial integrity and security of the country. Military service is compulsory in the country, and men are generally called up for military service between the ages of 18-27. Additionally, Tajikistan has military cooperation agreements with Russia and other partner countries. As a result, Tajikistan's military power is represented by the Tajikistan Armed Forces.
