The greatest events in Mexican History

1. Mexican War of Independence (1810-1821): This was the war in which Mexico gained independence from Spanish colonial rule. The rebellion, which started under the leadership of Miguel Hidalgo, one of the people's leaders, resulted in Mexico declaring its independence.

2. Mexican-American War (1846-1848): A war between Mexico and the United States. The war, which broke out when the United States wanted to seize Mexico's territory, resulted in the victory of the United States and caused great territorial losses for Mexico.

3. Mexican Revolution (1910-1920): It is the revolutionary movement that started against the Porfirio Diaz dictatorship in Mexico. 4. 1968 Tlatelolco Massacre: It is a massacre carried out by the Mexican government during a protest in Tlatelolco Square in Mexico's capital, Mexico, on October 2, 1968. Government forces intervened in student protests, killed many students and detained hundreds of people.

5. North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) (1994): It is a free trade agreement signed between Mexico, the United States and Canada. NAFTA gave a great impetus to the Mexican economy and led to an increase in foreign trade and the attraction of foreign investments in the country.

6. 2006-2007 Oaxaca Uprising: An uprising that started in the Mexican state of Oaxaca in 2006 and turned into anti-government protests. The protests began with strike demands from local teachers, but turned into a full-scale revolt against the government. During the uprising, anti-government demonstrators were violently cracked down on and many people were killed.

7. 2014 Ayotzinapa Incident: This incident started with the disappearance of students from Ayotzinapa Normal School in the Mexican state of Guerrero on September 26, 2014. It was claimed that the students were killed by being handed over to a local gang, but the fact that the incident was not fully clarified and the government's inadequate conduct of the investigation caused a great controversy. This incident highlighted the government's problems in combating human rights violations and organized crime in Mexico.
