Wars in which South Korea participated

South Korea has participated in various wars throughout history. Here are some important wars in which South Korea participated:

1. Korean War (1950-1953): South Korea participated in the Korean War, which started with the attack of North Korea in 1950. This war was started to protect the independence and democracy of South Korea. South Korea joined the war as part of the United Nations Force and fought against North Korea with the support of the United Nations Force.

2. Vietnam War (1964-1973): South Korea joined the Vietnam War in 1964. South Korea sent troops to the war at the request of the United States and fought against Vietnamese communist guerrillas.
