What are Panama Drinks?

Local drinks are generally consumed in Panama. These include:

1. Seco Herrerano: Seco Herrerano, the traditional drink of Panama, is a type of rum made from sugar cane. It is usually consumed by mixing it with fruit juice or soda.

2. Chicha de Maíz: Chicha de Maíz, a drink obtained by fermentation of corn, is sweet and slightly alcoholic. It is often presented at special events and festivals.

3. Ron Ponche: A sweet and creamy drink, Ron Ponche consists of a mixture of rum, milk cream, egg yolk, vanilla and spices. It is usually consumed at Christmas time.

4. Balboa Beer: Balboa, Panama's local beer, is a light and refreshing beer. It has many different varieties and is usually consumed with meals.

5. Refrescos Naturales: Refrescos Naturales, known as fresh fruit juice in Panama, is usually made from tropical fruits such as mango, pineapple, papaya, watercress. It is a light and refreshing drink.

6. Batidos: Batidos is a drink made by mixing fruit, milk or yoghurt, sugar and ice. Fruits such as bananas, strawberries and papaya are generally used.

7. Café de Olla: Traditionally consumed in Panama, Café de Olla is coffee prepared with a special brewing method. It is flavored with spices such as cinnamon, cloves and panela (sugar cane extract).
