Wars in which Kazakhstan participated

Kazakhstan has participated in many international security and peace operations since its independence in 1991. Here are some wars in which Kazakhstan participated:

1. Afghanistan War (2001-2014): Kazakhstan sent troops to Afghanistan to support the US-led coalition forces. Kazakhstan has served to ensure peace in Afghanistan and participated in various humanitarian aid projects.

2. Iraq War (2003-2011): Although Kazakhstan did not send troops to Iraq, it provided logistical and humanitarian support to coalition forces led by the United States. Kazakhstan also provided financial and logistical support to reconstruction and humanitarian aid projects in Iraq.

3. Syrian Civil War (2011-present): Although Kazakhstan did not play a military role in the Syrian Civil War, it hosted peace talks called the Astana process. Kazakhstan supported the efforts of the international community to find a political solution to the Syrian crisis.

4. Ukraine Crisis (2014-present): Kazakhstan took a neutral position during Russia's annexation of Crimea and the conflicts in eastern Ukraine. Kazakhstan has supported diplomatic efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis peacefully. Kazakhstan also took part in United Nations peacekeeping operations. For example, Kazakhstan has sent troops to UN peacekeepers to maintain peace in Kosovo, South Sudan, Western Sahara, and other regions in the Middle East.
