Ukraine is a country located in Eastern Europe and plays an important role regarding its military forces. Its duties include ensuring maritime security, protecting ports, monitoring maritime borders, and protecting Ukraine's sovereign rights in maritime areas. The Air Force is tasked with protecting Ukraine's airspace, countering air attacks and conducting air operations. The Air Force consists of fighter jets, combat helicopters, transport aircraft and other aircraft. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have undergone a process of modernization and reform in recent years. The country has taken important steps to comply with NATO standards and increase its military capabilities.
