Niger Political parties

There are several political parties in Niger. The most important political parties are:

1. Niger Democratic and Socialist Party (PNDS-Tarayya): PNDS-Tarayya, the largest political party in Niger, was founded in 1990. Its ideology is democratic socialism and the leader of the party is Mahamadou Issoufou. PNDS-Tarayya has been the ruling party of Niger since 2011.

2. Progressive Party of the Republic of Niger (MPN-Kiishin Kassa): MPN-Kiishin Kassa is a political party founded in 2019. Its ideology is liberalism and its leader is Hama Amadou. The party gained an important place in the parliament in the 2020 general elections.

3. Niger Fans Alliance (MODEN/FA-Lumana Africa): MODEN/FA-Lumana Africa is a political party founded in 2010. Its ideology is social democracy and its leader is Hama Amadou. The party became the second largest party in the 2016 general elections.
