1. Independence of Pakistan: It separated from India on 14 August 1947 and declared its existence as an independent state. This date is celebrated as the foundation day of Pakistan.

2. Separation of East and West Pakistan: In 1971, East Pakistan (now known as Bangladesh) declared independence by separating from West Pakistan. This event was a major turning point in Pakistan's history and deeply affected the political and social balances in the country.

3. Kargil War: Clashes broke out between India and Pakistan in 1999. This war, which took place in Kargil in India's Kashmir region, increased the tension between the two countries and created a major risk of conflict between the two countries with nuclear powers.
