Falkland Islands Friendly and foe countries

The attitudes of several countries were decisive regarding the countries with which the Falkland Islands were friends and enemies, especially after the Falklands War. Friendly Countries:

1. United Kingdom: The Falkland Islands are considered a British Overseas Territory and are administered by the United Kingdom. After the Falklands War in 1982, the United Kingdom took a determined stance in defending and protecting the islands.

2. United States: The United States recognizes that the Falkland Islands belong to the United Kingdom. It provided diplomatic and logistical support to the United Kingdom during the Falklands War. Additionally, the United States secured the support of other countries that accepted the islands as a protectorate of the United Kingdom.

3. Canada: Canada recognizes that the Falkland Islands belong to the United Kingdom and supports the United Kingdom regarding the sovereignty of the islands. Canada also supported the United Kingdom during the Falklands War. Enemy Countries:

1. Argentina: Argentina is in dispute with the United Kingdom over the sovereignty of the Falkland Islands. In the Falklands War, which took place in 1982, Argentina tried to occupy the islands but was repelled by the United Kingdom. After this incident, Argentina claims that the lands of the Falkland Islands belong to it.

2. South American Countries: Some South American countries have declared that the Falkland Islands belong to Argentina and that they do not recognize the sovereignty of the United Kingdom over the islands. These countries include countries such as Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
