Wars in which Jordan participated

Jordan has participated in various wars throughout history. Here are some of the important wars in which Jordan participated:

1. World War I (1914-1918): Jordan fought in World War I as part of the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire was defeated at the end of the war and Jordan became a mandate of England.

2. 1948 Arab-Israeli War: Jordan supported the Palestinian Arab forces in this war, which resulted in the establishment of the State of Israel. The Jordanian army took control of the West Bank and supported the establishment of a Palestinian state east of the Jordan River.

3. 1967 Six-Day War: In this war between Israel and Jordan, Jordan was defeated by Israel. Jordan lost the West Bank and East Jerusalem to Israel.

4. 1970 Black September Events: Jordan had conflicts with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The Jordanian government organized military operations to limit the PLO's influence in Jordan.

5. Gulf War (1990-1991): Jordan supported Iraq in this war, which broke out as a result of Iraq's invasion of Kuwait. However, after the United Nations took part in the rescue operation of Kuwait, Jordan stopped supporting Iraq. These wars are some of the important wars in which Jordan participated.
