Kuwait Political parties

The activities of political parties are limited in Kuwait. Kuwait has a constitutional monarchy system, and the establishment and operation of political parties is restricted by law. The Kuwaiti Constitution imposes restrictions on the establishment and operation of political parties. The constitution states that political parties cannot be based on ethnic, religious, sectarian or regional grounds and that their members must be Kuwaiti citizens. The activities of political parties in Kuwait are generally limited and political decisions are generally made by the government.
